キリングメイド篇終了。『マルドゥック・ヴェロシティ』を読んだときのように、流された血の重力に引かれて殺戮の深淵に降りていく気分を再び味わった。良いガンマンは死んだガンマンだけ。地上に残っているのはすべて地獄落ちを待つ亡者。すべてが終わった後ではロックの笑顔さえ「塗られた墓のように白く」みえる。

Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!
